Bah, Humbug! by Heather Horrocks: A Review

Bah, Humbug! (A Christmas Street Romantic Comedy Novella)

5.0 out of 5 stars A full-throttle romance to soften the hardest heart!

Bah, Humbug! (A Christmas Street Romantic Comedy Novella) (Kindle Edition)
This splendid novella should be mandatory reading for anyone with the
Christmas blues. Beautiful young divorcee Lexi is a TV personality who
inadvertently moves in next door to Kyle, a New York Times best-selling author.
Lexi’s son and daughter are huge fans of Kyle Miller’s mystery thrillers but
Lexi’s relationship with Kyle gets off totally on the wrong foot. Lexi’s heart
is hardened against any male relationship intruding in on her ordered life and
Kyle is still broken-hearted for his long deceased mother who died on Christmas
Eve. Kyle’s entire family still grieves for the missing woman in all their lives
and Christmas has been neither tolerated nor celebrated in their households for
20+ years. The entire story only spans the week prior to Christmas and the
romantic pace is breathless. The outcome is easily discerned by any reader but
the ‘getting there’ is what makes this story so heart-warming, poignant, and
dreamy. The snowman theme is exploited to the fullest effect thoughout the tale
with sweet humor. The author’s romance is wholesome, appropriate for all ages,
and appeals to the heart rather than the flesh. I loved-loved-loved it!
